Forest Insect Cicadas Cicadidae Sound Video for Relaxation - Nature sounds including animal sounds and green environments have long been associated with relaxation and human well-being for hundreds of years. Examples such as the sound of the waves, the chirping of birds, and the wind blowing against the trees are believed to calm the human mind.

The sounds of nature have been associated with relaxation of the brain, whether it's the sound of rain, waves, to the sound of insects and birds in a dense forest.

But is it true that these sounds can have a relaxing effect on the brain? How does the sound affect our brain and mood? A study conducted by Brighton and Sussex Medical School studied seventeen adults using a magnetic resonance imaging scanner or fMRI.

The seventeen people were exposed to five types of natural sounds and five types of man-made sounds. In the study, researchers measured the focus of the mind, heart rate, and organ systems such as breathing, body temperature, blood pressure, and digestion. Researchers found that there was activity in the brain's subconscious network, the result of man-made nature sounds made participants focus more on the nature sounds themselves, while the results of real nature sounds made participants' minds focus more on themselves.

The results of this study of nature sounds were marked by a slowdown in the reaction time of some research participants and a decrease in psychological stress such as stress, trauma, and depression. But only a few people can feel calm from the sound of nature, this is because of the different sympathetic responses that everyone has.

Some people can immediately significantly reduce stress and achieve a state of complete relaxation. Whereas people who start with a low sympathetic response, they actually experience a slight increase in body relaxation when listening to natural and artificial sounds.

One of the insect animals that usually produces a unique sound is an insect animal named Cicadas in Latin called Cicadidae.

The cicadas superfamily, the Cicadoidea, of insects in the order Hemiptera (true bugs). They are in the suborder Auchenorrhyncha,[a] along with smaller jumping bugs such as leafhoppers and froghoppers. The superfamily is divided into two families, the Tettigarctidae, with two species in Australia, and the Cicadidae, with more than 3,000 species described from around the world; many species remain undescribed.

Cicadas have prominent eyes set wide apart, short antennae, and membranous front wings. They have an exceptionally loud song, produced in most species by the rapid buckling and unbuckling of drumlike tymbals. The earliest known fossil Cicadomorpha appeared in the Upper Permian period; extant species occur all around the world in temperate to tropical climates. They typically live in trees, feeding on watery sap from xylem tissue, and laying their eggs in a slit in the bark. Most cicadas are cryptic. The vast majority of species are active during the day as adults, with some calling at dawn or dusk. Only a rare few species are known to be nocturnal. (Wikipedia)
